Nikki Canter started singing when she was six, and her love of music and performing has continued to grow ever since. 

She was classically trained in high school and resumed her training again in 2015. From 1983-1990, Ms. Canter performed with the band “Atlanta Transit” at Weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations in the Atlanta area.  In 1993, she made her stage debut at The Stage Door Players in Dunwoody as The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

A Return from Absence

After a 21 year hiatus, Nikki was back on stage as part of the Glory Days cast at The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta. In July of 2015, she began working with Tricia Grey, whom Ms. Canter describes as “an amazing vocal coach”.

The Next Steps

 Over the last few years, Nikki has been active in open mic nights and singing competitions in the Atlanta area.  She was fortunate to win The Lawrence Awards, which earned her a professional debut at The Velvet Note on April 17, 2016.  Ms. Canter is excited for her future in the Atlanta music scene.
